Kristin S. Mahaffey, DVM
Owner / Veterinarian – Kristin S. Mahaffey, DVM, is a 1989 graduate of Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has more than 30 years of experience, practicing at some of the top veterinary hospitals in Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and Wisconsin.  She has been the owner/president of Pet Vet Animal Hospital, Inc. for the past 17 years.

Jackie L. Burks, DVM
Dr. Burks is a 1982 graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He and his wife, Libby, have been married for 39 years and have 2 children: Matt, an architect and Caroline, a teacher. He has five dogs and 1 cat. In his 34 years of practice experience, Dr. Burks has developed interests in dermatology, dentistry and surgery. We are very excited about Dr. Burks heading up our veterinarian services at Pet Vet Express!

Lindsay Kelley, DVM
Dr. Kelley is a 2007 graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to filling in here at Pet Vet Express, she also fills in at our hospital in Vestavia Hills, Pet Vet Veterinary Hospital.

Mike Mahaffey
Business Manager – Mike has been the business manager for Pet vet Animal Hospital and also working with clients and patients with scheduling appointments and handling all business operations.

Hayley Adair
Technician – Hayley has 8 years of experience at a local veterinary hospital. She grew up on her family’s farm and now has 4 dogs and a cat. She is a graduate of Vestavia Hills and has earned an associate degree in medical laboratory technology.

Sharea Dugger
Dog Groomer – Sharea has been with Pet Vet Animal Hospital for over years. She will be splitting grooming days between Crestline (Pet Vet Express) and Vestavia Hills (Pet Vet Animal Hospital). She will be grooming in Crestline on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday by appointment.
